Here, about home.

I found a little collection of beautiful moments, and sorted them to share with you...

Jars of water. One with cheery blooms picked by the wee one, held in an old Listerine jar found buried in the backyard garden near the old incinerator.

Two fish bowls housing our pets, Crystal Cove and Rainbow Moonstone. Poor Crystal Cove met her maker the very next day. She did receive a proper send off with pale pink rose petals and kindly, loving words at her memorial.

Dilly, the sort who is most pleased by the clacking of marbles, the hum of a vacuum cleaner, a gardener's blower, and Sarah Harmer vocals.

A 16th wedding anniversary gift, following the traditional gift suggestion of "silver holloware."

Hail, beautiful hail on the porch of my studio.

The holiday show...the second one

My second holiday show proved not only to be successful, but marvelously fun. I was gloriously settled beneath a mature ginko tree with a few scattered die-hard yellow leaves still clutching to their branches. A slight breeze and down they would sail. The weather was surprisingly warm for a mid-December day, blue skies to greet the locals, for it had been raining pretty much up to that day. The grass was a bit boggy, but still, it was a grand, grand day to be outside.

For lunch, an orange a vendor shared and an order of french fries from the Fresh Fries truck, with wasabi ketchup, in my newly purchased dreamy blue bowl from one of the many vendors set up at the event. I truly felt so lucky to have been included in the Enchanted Handmade event, really.

one holiday show down, one more to go...

A couple of hastily snapped images from this past Sunday's trunk show at Belle's Nest. I was so grateful to the girls, Elena, Gloria and Maria for hosting a lovely afternoon.
And I was especially moved to see so many friends and followers turn out, thank you for your support and kind words. I am very thankful for you....

#32

#32

So we have finally learned, that Pops, my dad, has officially been accepted into the Lung Transplant Program. Pops is number 32 on the waiting list, which carries with it a wait of anywhere from 2 weeks - 2 years. But...he did qualify as #2 on the "big lung" list, meaning should a large lung become available, it's a shorter wait.....

Somewhat puts into perspective the frustrating 4 hour window the appliance repairman has me waiting for him. Wow. The operation is inching closer towards actually being a reality now and no so much a notion. New concerns and much to learn and ponder now...

silver days

I've been able to slowly hit the bench again, it's been so long since I've held a torch and soldered. It's still marvelously exciting.
